Paris Saint Germain superstar Neymar has taken his process to full fitness ahead of the FIFA 2018 World Cup to another level as he visited the gym for the first time on Thursday to begin his recovery process.
The 26-year-old Brazilian suffered a broken metatarsal during his side’s 3-0 win over Marseille late last month at the Parc Des Princes.
Having being ruled out of the remainder of the season, the former Barcelona forward underwent a successful surgery in less than two weeks after the accident, while his World Cup hopes hang in the balance.
Neymar shared some of the pictures of himself keeping himself fit on Instagram, as he’s hoping his leg heals up faster.
The Brazil international commenced the routine with bench-presses and further showed he was no alien to a bit of upper body work as he demonstrated one set of reps.
He also worked on his triceps, pulling the cables down with a weight restriction looking to test his upper-body strength.
The former Barcelona star joined PSG in a deal worth £198 million last summer, but barely one season into his reign at the French club, he has been heavily linked with a move back to the Spanish League. This time to play for Real Madrid.
Prior to his injury, he has scored 19 goals in over 20 games, but his side’s chances of winning the Champions League has been crushed, after losing 5-2 to Real Madrid on two legs.
